How it Works

It's been around for over 60 years; it's not a new diet or the latest fad.

Dr. Simeons, an endocrinologist, first published a report on the hormone, hCG, in 1954.  While researching in India, he used hCG to treat adolescent boys with abnormally low testosterone.  He noticed throughout the study that the boys naturally lost much of their excessive fat stores.  This discovery spurred on his research and led to his ground-breaking publication.

Simeons’ theory is that hCG causes the hypothalamus area of the brain to trigger a release of abnormal fat stores. Naturally produced in pregnant women, the hormone serves the crucial function of allowing nutrients normally locked in one area to be moved around the body easily, thus ensuring proper nutrition to the fetus.  This same action, when hCG is administered to a non-pregnant person, allows the body to use energy from its fat stores more readily, especially targeting problem areas, such as the belly, butt, and thighs. When hCG is thoughtfully paired with a low-calorie, ketogenic diet, you lose weight right where you want to lose it, dramatically reshaping your body along its natural contours.


During his research, Dr. Simeons was devoted to the idea that our bodies can maintain themselves in a healthy way with healthy hunger cues.  This is one of hCG’s biggest benefits.  You won’t be starving during your diet.  hCG allows your body to access the energy stores of your fat reserves and avoid muscle atrophy all while supplying even energy levels throughout your day.  In fact, Simeons noted a lack of many symptoms that are normally associated with a low-calorie diet.
